It’s been the home of the Simpson family and the heart of Harwood Dale village for generations.
Whether you need a few hours, days or longer: The Grainary is perfect for spending time with friends, family, pets or by yourself. With three Labrador Collies and our working dogs Lollie, Blue, Bessy, Harry and Gramps. You’ll always have someone happy to join you for a stroll by the pond.
The Grainary offers great bed and breakfast accommodation for a visiting couple or family. If you’re curious you can come and see what goes on in the day-to-day running of a working farm. Our farmyard animals will also keep you thoroughly entertained. For the little ones we have a games room and outdoor play area. We’re also surrounded by plenty of walking routes and we’d be more than happy to point you in the right direction. There’s ample parking for guests and a disabled access route has been developed.
At The Grainary we have 14 en-suite rooms available, each with its own colourful decoration. Rooms vary from single occupancies to doubles right through to pet friendly triples. Each bedroom includes complimentary toiletries, daily housekeeping, Freeview TV and DVD player, tea/coffee making facilities, alarm clock and radio. We have two special ground floor rooms for disabled guests. These include easy to access front doors and bathrooms with disabled-friendly toilets and shower facilities.
We provide a holiday or weekend away with a difference. The views are breathtaking and our food is homemade and wholesome. Our working farm provides you with the chance to get up close and personal and meet our farmyard animals. There's really no place like The Grainary and we can't wait to welcome you into our home.
